Dr. Stone has 45+ years experience and is an internationally known expert in antennas, propagation, cellular and wireless communications (GSM, UMTS, CMDA, WCDMA, LTE, 3GPP2, 4G, 5G, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, 802.11, UWB), wireless and telecommunication networks, cell phones, handsets, base station, mobile, RF, HF, VHF, UHF, microwave, and millimeter-wave technologies. He is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, Fellow of URSI, Fellow of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, was Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine (30 years), Editor of URSI Radio Science Bulletin (10+ years), Adjunct Full Professor of Beijing Jiaotong University, author/editor of six books and over 100 journal and conference papers. He provides expert witness services, technical consulting, litigation support services, patent claims and infringement/non-infringement analysis, prior art research, background research, proactive patent analysis, and invention and design consulting in the above areas. He has been retained as an expert in the areas of cell phone handset antennas, cell phone base stations, cellular systems, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, LTE, and 802.11 technologies. Dr. Stone is an experienced writer and speaker with exceptional communication skills, and is particularly good at explaining complex science and engineering topics to those who may not have a technical background. He is available to work in all states and most countries, and particularly in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Among other positions, Dr. Stone was Chief Scientist of McDonnell Technologies, Research Advisor of IRT Corp., and Executive Director of an international scholarship fund in telecommunications. He has been President of his own consulting firm for over 35 years, a Director and/or principal of five companies, and an investor in and/or active part of 16 startup companies. He has edited over 10,000,000 peer-reviewed words in print. He is Assistant Secretary General (Publications) of URSI.
