An Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon has trained in variety of areas – including dentistry, surgery and anesthesia – and is recognized by the American Dental Association as a specialized surgeon who treats the entire craniomaxillofacial complex; whether for diseases, injuries or defects to the head, neck, face, jaw, or the hard and soft tissues of the mouth. Dr. Michael Lee is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has practiced in Cincinnati since finishing his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 1981. Prior to his residency, Dr. Lee received his Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from Purdue University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. The majority of Dr. Lee’s practice is centered on orthognathic surgery and jaw reconstruction for the placement of dental implants. He routinely performs all other oral surgical procedures associated with the dental specialty of oral surgery. He lectures in and performs mandibular and lingual nerve reconstruction. His TM J surgery experience is limited to arthroscopic surgery only. Dr. Lee is regionally recognized as a leading Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in jaw reconstruction for bite deformities and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. On the national level, Dr. Lee has served as an alternate delegate to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial. On the state level, he is President Elect of the Ohio Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Locally, Dr. Lee is Editor-in-Chief of the Cincinnati Dental Society, Dental Bulletin. Dr. Lee has lectured regionally and nationally on jaw reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea and inferior alveolar nerve and lingual nerve repair surgery.
