Heather L. Halton, MD, MPH &TM is board certified in obesity and emergency medicine and currently practices in the Emergency Department at Randolph Health in Asheboro, NC. Her experienced has been obtained at centers ranging from Level 1-2 Trauma centers, to rural, stand alone facilities, and disaster conditions. In practice for more than ten years, she has extensive experience managing emergency conditions including traumatic and medical emergencies, including interpersonal and mechanical injuries, sepsis, PE, cardiac arrest and airway management. Dr. Halton has used her public health training extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic not only in clinical management, public health, and emerging pathogens but in ethics of medical scarcity and limited resources. She has previous disaster medicine experience in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2006 New Orleans. Experienced testifying in criminal trial, able to travel.
