Description
I completed my pediatric critical care fellowship in 2011 at UCSD/Rady Children's Hospital. I received an additional year of training in pediatric cardiology at UCLA/Mattel Children's Hospital. I then worked for 1.5 years in a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit before moving on to a combined medical/surgical and cardiac pediatric intensive care unit. I have done locums tenens work at multiple hospitals in multiple states and am therefore familiar with a variety of approaches to and unit models for providing care to critically ill infants and children. My current institution is a level 1 trauma center and an ECMO center. Finally, I have been the chair of the committee that oversees and reviews all cardiac arrest cases in our hospital since July of 2018 and have instituted multiple quality improvement projects that have collectively resulted in improved survival following in-hospital cardiac arrest. I am an expert in resuscitative medicine and am very familiar with the evidence and literature that exists regarding pediatric in-hospital cardiac arrest.
