I have 29 years of nursing experience. As A former clinical regulatory analyst, I was responsible for maintaining the quality of care of all stroke patients. This included medical and endovascular management. I am currently the clinical director for a large, Neurointerventional Surgery practice in the state of Florida. I routinely review endovascular stroke cases and neuroimaging with our Neurointerventional Surgeons. This includes the diagnosis, treatment, and management of stroke. Specifically, I am adept in neurovascular imaging both in terms of anatomy (CT angiography) and physiology (CT Perfusion) allowing the determination of eligible neurovascular candidates. I am fully aware of the standard of care in this specialty. We also incorporate the current American Heart/American Stroke Association guidelines into our practice. Our physicians serve as expert witnesses and I am involved with this component of our practice also. I routinely prepare PowerPoint presentations that include all the pertinent clinical information and imaging so all information can be reviewed from a single source rather than fumbling through notes, charts, and imaging discs.
