Ms. Fedick began her career in the ice arena industry as a competitive figure skater. After earning a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Lisa Fedick’s career in rink management began in 1989, with her company, the Wonderland of Ice Associates, Inc, being awarded the long-term lease of the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Lisa continues to be part of all aspects of the day to day business operations, including management, operations, programming, risk management, retail and food and beverage. The Wonderland of Ice was part of one of the first public / private ice arena privatization arrangements in the country. Lisa’s ice arena has since been expanded to include a second NHL surface, as well as a dedicated curling rink. Through the planning and design of Lisa’s creation, the business footprint has increased by 600%. Lisa has also recently acquired a second arena in Norwich, Connecticut and a synthetic ice facility in Westbrook, Connecticut. Lisa is the Second Vice-President of the Ice Sports Industry and the Chair of their Master Education Committee. She is a frequent and popular speaker at regional, national and international conferences. Lisa is one of thirteen industry professionals to have earned the title of Certified Arena Executive (CAE). Lisa is a member of the Executive Board of the Metropolitan Ice Arena Manager's Association. Lisa obtained a SEAK National Expert Witness Conference Certificate in 2019 and will continue to pursue their training opportunities. On the ice, Lisa is an Ice Sports Industry (ISI) International Skating Judge and Referee and a Professional Skater’s Association (PSA) Master rated Program Director. Lisa is also an active figure and power skating skating coach and in addition to working with skaters from beginners to Olympians, she has been the Head Coach of the Sacred Heart University Intercollegiate Figure Skating Team since 2008.
