CRNA leader. Clinical experience includes general anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, spinal and epidural anesthesia. Administrative experience includes documentation auditing, policies, bylaw compliance, root cause analysis, sentinel event investigation and patient safety. Experience with a wide range of practice settings including rural critical access hospitals, office-based anesthesia, medium sized hospitals, large hospitals, and university practices. Expert witness experience includes cases involving management of airways, awareness under anesthesia, IV infiltration, patient falls and epidurals. Extensive experience with chart review / auditing for quality assurance and adverse outcomes. History of presenting lectures on topics ranging from complications of epidural anesthesia, malignant hyperthermia to quality assurance / quality improvement. Currently a clinical preceptor for Excela Health School of Anesthesia for Nurses and the West Virginia University School of Nursing DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program. Seventeen years of teaching experience. Fourteen years of ongoing Chief CRNA expertise - managing nurse anesthetists on a daily basis. Super-user / programmer for electronic anesthesia documentation system implementation and use. Graduated with (3.8 GPA) from La Roche College with Master’s in Health Sciences concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.
