I am a board-certified neurologist, fellowship trained in Behavioral Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, with over 30 years’ clinical experience in private practice. As the founder and Medical Director of the ADHD Center of New England, I built one of the largest private adult ADHD practices in the northeast. I am an expert on the use and misuse of stimulant medications. I have lectured extensively on ADHD, nationally and internationally. I have been an ABIME-certified independent medical examiner for more than twenty years and have performed more than 500 examinations. I have testified by deposition and in court at least 50 times in medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, personal injury, and competency cases. I do medical-legal consulting for both plaintiffs and defendants. A dynamic speaker, I have been on numerous pharmaceutical speaker boards for much of my career and have also given many educational presentations. My book, Medical & Legal Aspects of Neurology, was published in 2005. I am also a retired attorney, previously admitted to the NY, MA, and RI bars. My legal education gives me an understanding of the issues at stake in medical-legal matters.
