Dr. Davey trained as a pathologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida, but since 1987 has practiced in Family Practice and Geriatric Medicine in office, hospital, and nursing home settings. Dr. Davey has a special interest in wound diagnosis, prevention and treatment and is board certified by the American Board of Wound Management. He is also a trained Hyperbaric Specialist. Hyperbaric medicine is the treatment of severe wounds and other conditions using high pressure oxygen chambers. He was the Medical Director of Hyperbaric Medicine, as well as an active physician at the Edward White Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine until October 2014. He has also been a consultant for American Medical Technologies in Irvine, CA on wound care dressings. Dr. Davey is also a senior member of the Wound Healing Society in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Davey holds a current active medical license in the state of Florida. Dr. Davey is currently doing telemedicine wound care during the Covid-19 crisis. Dr. Davey has testified extensively for both Plaintiff and Defense since 1998 involving Geriatric issues, falls, bedsores, pressure ulcers, complex medical cases and hospital and nursing home Standards of Care. I also have the expertise to render opinions on cause of death issues, including death from Covid-19 infections in nursing and care homes due to my pathology background.
