Expertise in: 1. Pathobiology, clinico-pathologic correlation, and histopathologic diagnosis of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, anus, liver, and pancreas. 2. Pathobiology, clinico-pathologic correlation, and histopathologic diagnosis of human neoplasms (cancer) and preneoplastic conditions. 3. Standard of Care, Causation, Cause of Death. From 07/1998 to 12/2000 Dr. Torres was Staff Pathologist, Assistant Professor and Director of the Gastrointestinal-Liver Pathology Division at Hermann Hosp-UTHSC in Houston, TX. From 01/2001 to 04/2012, Dr. Torres was Staff Pathologist and Director of Quality Assurance at Caris/Miraca Life Sciences, in Dallas TX, in which Dr. Torres was instrumental in creating a rather unique model of GI subspecialty-focused laboratory, that during his 12 yrs tenure became one of the largest private national Anatomic Pathology laboratories-Caris/Miraca Life Sciences. Dr. Torres contributed to the success and growth of the operation, with the principle of providing the highest standards of patient care and service to GI clinicians. From 05/2012 to 05/2015, Dr. Torres was Staff Pathologist at the Anatomic Pathology Division of the North-Shore-LIJ Health Care System in New York. Since 01/2016, Dr. Torres is Staff Pathologist at Alliance Health Sciences, a private multispecialty laboratory in Dallas, TX. Since 01/2001, Dr. Torres is the sole proprietor of Expert Pathology Consultation Services Laboratory which provides diagnostic surgical pathology services to hospitals, ambulatory surgical clinics and endoscopy centers from multiple states as well as providing Expert Witness services nationwide.
