Description
Dr. Kusnick is an actively practicing Cardiologist with over 30 years of experience. He holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Kusnick has held long-term academic positions at Tulane University School of Medicine and Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He also co-founded Louisiana Heart Hospital and was the Cardiovascular Service Line Director there. Dr. Kusnick did his Interventional training at Tulane University Medical School, and was invited to join the faculty where he spent the next several years teaching, doing research, providing clinical care to patients, and cath lab innovations. During his term at Tulane, he started the Transradial Catheterization and the Peripheral Interventional programs, he also had the opportunity to participate in several landmark clinical trials. Dr. Kusnick provided both expert opinions and expert testimony during his time at Tulane and in private practice. He has provided expert consultation for both plaintiff and defense in a variety of cases. Some of his cases included, but not limited to; wrongful (cardiac) death and medical malpractice (standard of care and causation). Dr. Kusnick is extremely well spoken, he was on the debate team for the University of Florida, and traveled representing the University where he and his team placed 17th in the nation. He has given talks from the classroom to the courtroom; with the ability to speak fluently in English as well as Spanish. He has also served on numerous Medical Review Panels, providing expert consultation with regard to standard of care.
