Harvard-trained endocrinologist, academic endocrinologist, experienced expert witness. Full-time Harvard faculty, board-certified in Endocrinology. Dr. Turchin is a Harvard-trained, double-board certified (Internal Medicine, Endocrinology) full-time practicing academic endocrinologist in Boston, Massachusetts. He is Director of Quality at the Division of Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Turchin is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the fields of diabetes and chronic cardiometabolic disease and an experienced general endocrinologist. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has given numerous national and international lectures. Dr. Turchin serves as the Immediate Past Chair of American Diabetes Association Health Care Delivery and Quality Improvement Interest Group and a member of the Endocrine Society Quality Subcommittee. Dr. Turchin is also a leading expert in medical / health informatics. He has a Master’s in Medical Informatics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Fellow of American College of Medical Informatics. Dr. Turchin is a member of Methods and Data Council at AcademyHealth; he has also served as the Chair of Health Information Technology Interest Group at AcademyHealth. Dr. Turchin has served as an expert witness in both plaintiff and defendant medical malpractice cases as well as corporate liability and medical Guardian Ad Litem cases.
