Elizabeth E. Gilles, MD, is an award-winning Pediatric Neurologist in active clinical practice, licensed in Minnesota, California and Illinois. Boarded by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Qualifications in Pediatric Neurology. 30+ years of experience as an expert witness testifying on a variety of pediatric & neurologic issues. 35+ years of teaching experience including academic appointments at UCLA, University of Minnesota and Ohio State University. Experienced Board-Certified Pediatrician prior to training in Pediatric Neurology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she also completed a research fellowship. Active duty United States Navy 1983-1990. Awarded Navy Achievement Medal for work in Family and Child Advocacy. Dr. Gilles has published on traumatic brain injury and other neurologic issues. Winner of two different awards for teaching and three for humanism in medicine. Deep experience in child abuse (clinical, research and expert witness). Extensive public speaking experience in head injury and other issues including over 100 invited academic presentations.
